Oswego Man Hospitalized After Being Stabbed During Domestic Dispute

Kendall County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a robbery that is alleged to have occurred at the Citgo gas station on Light Road at about 10:50 a.m. May 25. The victim was a 46-year-old woman from Aurora.
A 41-year-old Oswego man was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center after reportedly being stabbed during a domestic dispute at about 4 a.m. May 24 in the 100 block of Eisenhower Drive, according to an Oswego Police report. The suspect is a 34-year-old woman known to the victim, police said.
A resident near Beau Meade and Boulder Hill Pass reported two bikes were stolen from in front of their home sometime before 2:30 p.m May 23, according to an Oswego Police report. The bikes were valued at about $120.
Jenny Smiesko, 43, of Boulder Hill, was arrested for DUI and cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at about 9:50 p.m. May 23 near Douglas Road and Route 34, according to an Oswego Police report. Smiesko was involved in a accident with another vehicle at that location, but there were no injuries, police said.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested for battery at about 6:50 p.m. May 22 near the grounds of Prairie Point Elementary School, according to an Oswego Police report. During the same incident, Ronald Childers, 54, of Oswego, was arrested for aggravated battery, disorderly conduct and reckless conduct, according to police. He was taken to the Kendall County Jail, police said.
Two juveniles were arrested for battery at about 5 p.m. May 22 in the 0-99 block of Merchants Drive, according to an Oswego Police report. One was 17 years old and one was 15 years old, police said.
A 14-year-old Plank Junior High student was arrested for possession of alcohol by a minor at about 1:50 p.m. May 22 at the school, according to an Oswego Police report.
Theft to vehicle
A resident in the 200 block of Morgan Valley Drive reported his unlocked car was broken into sometime before 9:50 a.m. May 22, according to Oswego Police. About $2,500 worth of items were taken, police said.
Geoffrey Woods, 21, of Plano, was arrested for battery at about 8:10 p.m. May 21 in the 3000 block of Orchard Road, according to an Oswego Police report.
Megan O'Driscoll, 33, of Yorkville, was arrested for DUI, speeding, and improper lane usage at about 10:50 p.m. May 21 near Mill and Station Drive, according to an Oswego Police report.
Leaf blower stolen
Oswego Police are investigating the theft of a leaf blower from a home in the 400 block of Gloria Lane that occurred sometime before 7:30 p.m. May 19. The blower is valued at less than $300, police said.
Michelle Sather, 39, of St. Charles, was arrested for domestic battery at about 7:50 p.m. May 18 in the 200 block of Bluegrass Parkway, according to an Oswego Police report.
Drug paraphernalia possession
Michael Dergance, 23, of Oswego, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at about 5:30 p.m. May 18 in the 200 block of Douglas Road, according to an Oswego Police report.
A resident in the 800 block of Sparkle Court reported about $50,000 in jewelry was taken from the home sometime before 6:50 p.m. May 18, according to an Oswego Police report. No suspect information was given.
Adrian Mata, 37, of 2800 Light Road, was arrested for DUI and obstructing police at about 1:30 a.m. May 18 near Route 31 and Caterpillar Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Mata also was cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and speeding.
Oswego Police are currently investigating the theft of a bike from the 200 block of Chicago Road sometime before 5:15 p.m. May 17. The bike is valued at about $150.
