An Oswego Township man is being held on charges that he held up the Citgo gas station at Route 31 and Light Road Monday morning.
David Lee Willett, 34, of the 1700 block of Light Road, is alleged to have entered the station at about 10:50 a.m. and provided a note demanding money. Though he implied he had a weapon, one was never shown, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. He got away with an undetermined amount of cash.
After an investigation, Willett was arrested the following day without incident at his home, the sheriff’s office said.
Willett is charged with aggravated robbery, a Class 1 felony. He remains in the Kendall County Jail pending a bond hearing scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
