Police Make Several Teen Arrests in Park After Hours

Two 14-year-old boys and one 15-year-old boy were cited for curfew violation at about 1:30 a.m. June 1 in the 0-99 block of Circle Drive East in Boulder Hill, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. They were taken to the Kendall County Jail and released to the custody of their parents, the sheriff's office said.
Marijuana, paraphernalia possession
Two female juveniles were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at about 11 p.m. May 31 at Waa Kee Sha Park on Reservation Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Deputies found the teens during a routine check of the park after closing hours.
Itzel Alfaro, 18, Yaneli Vazquez-Gardea, 18, and Miguel Garcia, 19, all of Aurora, and one juvenile, were all arrested for unlawful consumption and possession of alcohol by a minor at about 12:30 a.m. May 30 at Waa Kee Sha Park on Reservation Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report.
Steven Ming, 49, of 10020 Route 71, was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage at about 3:50 a.m. May 30 near Douglas and Saugatuck, according to an Oswego Police report.
Junior High spray-painted
Oswego Police took a report of someone spray-paintining the outside of Thompson Junior High sometime before 8:10 a.m. May 29. No damage estimate was given.
Michael Benton, 34, of 2018 Farmington Lakes Drive, was arrested for obstructing a police officer at about 11:35 p.m. May 29 near Bereman and Briarcliff roads, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Benton was originally found sitting in the grass on the street corner and appeared intoxicated, police said. After being approached by deputies, Benton attempted to walk away, police said. He was stopped a short distance later and was also cited for improper walking on the roadway and pedestrian under the influence of alcohol, the sheriff's office said.
Tires, rims stolen
Oswego Police are investigating the theft of four tires and rims from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Prairieview Drive sometime before 9 a.m. May 27. The value of the tires and rims was estimated at $2,632, police said.
A Plainfield woman had her purse stolen from her vehicle sometime before 11:40 p.m. May 27 while it was parked at a business in the 1300 block of Route 30, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report.
Estella Deleon, 20, of Aurora, was arrested for battery at about 3:20 p.m. May 26 at 230 Kendall Point Drive, according to an Oswego Police report.
Victor Rodriguez, 31, of 401 Derby Court, Oswego, was arrested for domestic battery at about 4:40 a.m. May 26 at his home, according to an Oswego Police report.
Brande Mijarez, 35, of Aurora, was arrested for DUI at about 2:35 a.m. May 25 near Wolf's Crossing and Secretariat, according to an Oswego Police report.
A 48-year-old Bolingbrook man was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center after a two-car traffic accident at about 5:45 p.m. May 25 near Routes 30 and 34, according to an Oswego Police report.
DUI, obstructing police
Jeremain Taylor, 33, of Aurora, was arrested for DUI and obstructing police after being pulled over at about 10:45 p.m. May 25 at Route 31 and Caterpillar Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. The sheriff's office said Taylor attempted to run from police after stopping his vehicle. He was caught a short distance later, police said.
