Funeral arrangements have been made for 12-year-old Plank Junior High student Isabella Erickson, who died in an ATV accident over the July 4 holiday weekend near Nokomis, Illinois.

According to an announcement on the Plank website, a visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Dieterle Funeral Home, 1120 S. Broadway, in Montgomery. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday — also at Dieterle.

The family has invited all students who wish to attend the visitation to wear tie-dye shirts in honor of Isabella. Her mother, Anya, also will be handing out loom-band bracelets made by Isabella.

Plank officials also announced that crisis counselors will be available at the school from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for students and staff who may need someone to talk to.

"At this time, words cannot express our grief and our heart-felt sympathy for Isabella’s entire family," said Matthew Wendt, School District 308 superintendent. "Family and friends have shared how Isabella was a wonderfully warm and caring girl who displayed remarkable talent in art. She will be deeply missed by her fellow students, teachers, and the staff at Plank Junior High and throughout the district."

As a reminder, a GoFundMe page has been established to help the Erickson family with funeral costs and medical bills. Donations can be made here.
