Paperwork has been submitted for a new Kiwanis Club in Oswego.

The club is starting with 24 charter members and hopes to receive its charter from Kiwanis International in about 30 days. The club will meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. The second Tuesday will be at noon at Tap House in downtown Oswego. The fourth Tuesday will be at Oswego High School in the Community room at 7pm.  RSVPs are requested for those wishing to attend.

Join the new club at their meet and greet for prospective members prior to the evening meeting on July 28, which will start at 6:30pm. Newly elected board members will be in attendance to share information about the new club.

The club also will host a booth at the Oswego Country Market on Aug. 16 to start fundraising efforts for their club and to share information with residents of Oswego. Please stop by and say hello to our charter members and enjoy some Kiwanis peanuts!

You can follow the club on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kiwanis-Oswego-IL/1859441657613751.
