School District 308 Plans Special Education Community Meetings

Jul 26, 2015 02:10PM ● Published by Steven Jack

School District 308 has schedule several community meetings for parents to review and discuss the framework for the district's Special Education Comprehensive Plan.

The district is in the process of developing its own special education system after the School Board voted last year to leave the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative.

As part of developing its own curriculum for the 2016-17 school year, the district must submit a Comprehensive Plan to the Illinois State Board of Education for approval.

Meetings will be about two hours with a short overview of the Comprehensive Plan framework and specific focus on continuum of program options. This section will be reviewed by attendees with focus questions and guided discussion.
