UPDATED 1:35 P.M. SUNDAY
A man suspected in a drive-by shooting in Oswego Township Sunday morning has been questioned by police, but is not in custody, according to information from the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.
At about 6 a.m. Sunday deputies were called to a home in the 100 block of Laurie Lane for a report of several shots fired at a home. Deputies responded to the home along with officers from the Oswego and Montgomery Police.
By the time police arrived the suspect had fled the scene. Investigators found several bullet holes in the home, but no one was injured.
Officers from the Aurora Police Department later located the suspect and his car in Aurora; however, he is not in custody at this time. Kendall County Sheriff Dwight Baird said the suspect was detained for questioning, but was later released, pending further investigation. Police have not identified the man.
During the investigation, it was determined the suspect had been involved in an Aurora bar fight with the victim earlier Sunday morning. The victim and the suspect also knew each other through previous contact, the sheriff's office said.
Kendall County detectives are investigating the shooting with assistance from the Aurora Police Department and the Kendall County Criminal Intelligence Team.
