A police call Wednesday night for a man with a gun near the Pine Ridge Condominium Development near Mill and Orchard roads in Oswego turned out to be unfounded.
According to Oswego Police Chief Jeff Burgner, police were dispatched to the area at about 9:45 p.m. for a report of a suicidal male who was possibly armed.
Burgner said when police made contact with the man outside of his home he was not armed, and no weapon was found.
No arrest was made, and the man was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for treatment, Burgner said.
