Pricey Ring Stolen from Oswego Hotel

DUI crash

Derek Devivo, 24, of Yorkville, was arrested for DUI after a single-car rollover crash at about 5:20 a.m. Aug. 16 in the 1000 block of Route 25, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. He was transported to Rush-Copley Medical Center for minor injuries, and was arrested upon his release, police said.

Cooking grease stolen

Oswego Police took a report of someone stealing used cooking grease from outside Rosati's Pizza in Mason Square sometime before 8:30 a.m. Aug. 15. The grease is valued at about $550.

DUI

Francisco Garcia, 56, of Aurora, was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage and possession of a controlled substance at about 4:30 a.m. Aug. 15 near Route 34 and Fifth Street, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Battery, Resisting arrest

Michael Walls, 45, of Oswego, was arrested for battery and resisting a police officer at about 11:20 p.m. Aug. 14 in the 100 block of Harbor Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Sheriff's deputies were called to the area for a report of a man assaulting a woman in a parking lot on Harbor Drive.

Ring stolen from hotel room

A Plainfield woman who was staying at the AmericInn Hotel on Douglas Road Aug. 14 reported that someone entered her hotel room before 12:20 p.m. and stole a ring valued at about $8,000, according to an Oswego Police report. Police are investigating the theft.

Driver hospitalized

A 28-year-old Bolingbrook woman was hospitalized after a two-car accident at about 5:25 p.m. Aug. 12 at Plainfield and Woolley roads, according to an Oswego Police report. The other driver was a 33-year-old man from Sycamore. He was not injured, police said.

Marijuana possession

Devin Morgan, 18, of Oswego, and a male juvenile were arrested for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 12 near Commerce Drive and Dolores Street in Oswego Township, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. 

Pedestrian hit by car

A 68-year-old Boulder Hill man was hospitalized after being struck by a car at about 11:45 a.m. Aug. 12 while walking near Long Beach and Winrock roads. Grace Rodriguez, 28, of Boulder Hill, was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. 

Marijuana possession

Joshua Hagan, 22, of Naperville, and Adam Bueaugard, 22 of Bolingbrook, were both arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at about midnight Aug. 10 in the 600 block of Pearces Ford Road, according to an Oswego Police report. Bueaugard also was arrested for possession of marijuana, police said. 

Gas station damaged

Oswego Police are investigating damage that was done to the BP Gas Station at 2791 Route 34 sometime before 5 p.m. Aug. 9. About $500 in damages were done, police said.
