Home Flooded After Pipes Cut and Stolen: Police

Bikes stolen

A resident of the 1500 block of Light Road reported to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office that he had two bikes stolen sometime before 6:30 a.m. Aug. 30. There are no suspects in the case, the sheriff's office said. 

Pursuit through Boulder Hill

Kendall County Sheriff's Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for a minor traffic violation at about 12:20 a.m. Aug. 30 near Douglas and Old Post roads, but the driver refused to stop and led deputies on a chase through Montgomery and Boulder Hill. No arrests were made, but there are suspects in the case. 

Domestic battery

Nicholas Lesure, 26, of Oswego Township, was arrested for domestic battery at about 2:20 a.m. Aug. 30 at his home in the 0-99 block of Knollwood Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report.

Veronica Rocha, 44, of Oswego Township, was arrested for domestic battery at about 6 p.m. Aug. 30, at her home in the 0-99 block of Hubbard Way, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. 

Pipes stolen, home floods

Someone entered a home under construction in the 200 block of Julep Avenue sometime before 12:35 p.m. Aug. 29, and cut and stole copper pipes in the house, according to an Oswego Police report. The cut pipes caused a flood in the home's first floor and basement. Damages are estimated at about $5,000, police said. 

Car runs into home

A 17-year-old girl drove her car into a home in the 200 block of Foster Drive at about 11:10 p.m. Aug. 29, according to an Oswego Police report. The girl was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for injuries, and damages to the home are estimated at more than $1,500, police said. 

Drone found

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office reported a drone was found in a bush in the 0-99 block of Fall Creek Drive in Oswego Township at about 10:50 a.m. Aug. 27. The sheriff's office is asking the owner to call them at 630-553-7500. 

DUI crash

Andrew Bromel, 33, of Yorkville, was arrested for DUI after a single-car crash at about 11:15 p.m. Aug. 27 near Grove and Reservation roads, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Reports state that Bromel's vehicle rolled over in the crash. He refused medical treatment, but later checked himself into Rush-Copley Medical Center for injuries, the sheriff's office said. 

Felony drug possession

Corey Scott, 46, of Bolingbrook, was arrested for felony drug possession and DUI/drugs at about 2:40 a.m. Aug. 26 near Route 34 and Pearces Ford Road, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Domestic battery

Delfin Bayon Jr., 42, of Oswego, was arrested for domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery at about 6:30 a.m. Aug. 25 at his home in the 400 block of Blue Ridge Drive, according to an Oswego Police report. 

DUI

Katherine Bellis, 36, of Oswego, was arrested for DUI alcohol and drugs at about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at Route 31 and Caterpillar Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. She was also cited for speeding and illegal transportation of alcohol, the sheriff's office said. 

Marijuana possession

Karen Reeves, 47, of Montgomery, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing identification at about 8:40 a.m. Aug. 25 near Long Beach and Stratford roads, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Reeves was originally pulled over for traveling 34 mph in a 20 mph speed zone, the sheriff's office said. She also tried giving deputies a false identification, the sheriff's office said. 

Burglary

A resident in 200 block of Fernwood Road reported someone broke into their home sometime before 9 p.m. Aug. 23, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Entry was gained to the home through a window that had been broken.
