The second project is the resurfacing of Washington Street between the new pavement on Route 71 and Route 34.

D Construction will start work Monday, Sept. 28. The surface will be removed and replaced. Select sections of curb and sidewalk also will be replaced.

The road will remain open to traffic during construction. Flaggers will be present to guide traffic through the work zone. Work is scheduled to be completed by Oct. 31.

Both projects will be paid for with 75 percent federal funding.
