Man Found Passed Out in Driveway: Police

Marijuana possession

Kristen Young, 22, of Glen Ellyn, was arrested for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 10 p.m. Sept. 20 near Barnaby and Heritage, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Man found asleep in driveway

Oswego Police responded to the 200 block of Forest Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. Sept. 17 for a report of a resident who found a man passed out in a vehicle in her driveway. 

The woman said she believed the man had drugs sitting in his lap, and when she woke him up he left the vehicle and walked away. Before police arrived, it's believed the man may have been picked up by another vehicle in the area. 

According to police spokeswoman Cathy Nevara, the vehicle did not belong to the woman. Citing an ongoing investigation, Nevara declined to say to whom the car belonged. 

The man is described as white, about 40 years old, 5-feet 8-inches tall, 190 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a dark shirt and pants and glasses, police said.

Cigarettes stolen

A business in the 1100 block of Route 34 reported someone stole about $520 worth of cigarettes from the store at about 11:20 a.m. Sept. 11. The theft was reported to police on Sept. 17. 

Domestic battery

Josiah Padilla, 20, of the 0-99 block of Hillstone Road, was arrested for domestic battery and criminal damage to property at about 10 p.m. Sept. 17 at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. 

Rock through window

A resident in the 100 block of 100 Boulder Hill Pass reported someone threw a rock through her window at about 10 p.m. Sept. 15, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. 

Theft from OEHS locker room

Oswego Police are investigating the theft of a mobile phone, wallet and shoes from the boys locker room at Oswego East High School sometime before 10 a.m. Sept. 15. No value was placed on the items. 

Car break-in

A resident in the 0-99 block of Springdale Road reported two of his vehicles were broken into sometime before 8:30 a.m. Sept. 14, accordng to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office. Stolen were several items from the center consoles of both cars. There are no suspects in the case, the sheriff's office said. 

Residential burglary

A resident in the 0-99 block of Hillcrest Court reported their home was broken into sometime during the day Sept. 14, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. There are no suspects in the case. 

Purse stolen

A Napervillle woman reported to Oswego Police that someone stole her purse after she accidentally left it in a store in the 1600 block of Douglas Road at about 2 p.m. Sept 14. Police said they do have a suspect in the case. 

Vacuum stolen

Someone stole a Dyson vacuum cleaner from the Oswego Meijer store at about 6:20 p.m. Sept. 14, according to an Oswego Police report. The vacuum is valued at about $270.
