Oswego Police are investigating an incident in which an 8-year-old girl was grabbed by a man Wednesday afternoon in the Deerpath Creek subdivision.

According to police spokeswoman Cathy Nevara, the girl reported being approached by a man who appeared to be in his 60s at about 4 p.m. near Isleview and Danbury drives. The man grabbed the girl by the arm, but did not say anything to her.

A couple who was walking in the area intervened, the girl said, and the man continued walking north on Isleview to Lakeview. The couple left the area before police arrived to begin their investigation, Nevara said.

The man is described as bald, about 5-feet 8-inches tall with a heavier build. He was wearing tan pants and a white shirt.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Oswego Police at 630-551-7300.
