Boulder Hill Students Collecting 'Pennies for Peanuts'

Nov 01, 2015 07:16PM ● Published by Steven Jack

Boulder Hill Elementary School students will have the chance to support overseas troops with the help of the Kiwanis Club of Oswego during the week of Nov. 2-6.

Students will be collecting loose change to help the Kiwanis with their Pennies for Peanuts program, sending cases of peanuts to the troops overseas.

Each case of peanuts has 100 individual packages that our troops will be able to enjoy as a snack. Every penny raised will go the purchase of peanuts.

The Kiwanis Club is asking students to bring in spare change to put in the Pennies for Peanuts donation jar. On Veteran’s Day, November 11, the school will announce how many cases they will be sending to our troops.

If you have any questions about the program, emailoswegokiwanis@gmail.com. More information can be found on the Kiwanis website, www.oswegokiwanis.org
