The Fox Chase Service Learning Club took a field trip to Feed My Starving Children in October.

The trip was a success as the 100-plus volunteers packed 80 boxes of food in just over an hour to send overseas to help needy children in Haiti and other countries.

Those boxes held 17,280 meals, which will be enough to feed 48 children for an entire year.

The Service Learning Club, in its second year at Fox Chase, focuses on projects and events that will help the greater Oswegoland community.

The Club, comprised of third through fifth graders at Fox Chase has helped with the District Food Drive, visited the Kendall County Food Pantry and has sung holiday carols at local nursing homes.
