OYTF Eighth-Graders Win Super Bowl Title

Nov 03, 2015 07:35AM ● Published by Steven Jack

OYTF's Oswego Blue squad beat an undefeated Plano squad in the season's Championship game over the weekend.

As we wrap up our 36th season of OYTF: Oswego Youth Tackle Football & Cheer, we just wanted to update what happened in the 7th & 8th grade Super Bowls, say Thank You to our 8th graders, and send a recap of all that our kids accomplished in this new, highly competitive, league that we joined in 2015.

As a reminder, registration for the 2016 season will be opening in the January/February time frame. You can always stay up to date by liking our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/OYTFC and checking out our website at www.oytf.org. We look forward to having our kids come back and more new kids joining our teams in 2016.

7th Grade SUPER BOWL:
(#2) Oswego Blue 8 - (#1) St. Raphael Wolves White 26
Blue played a hard fought game against the unbeaten wolves team. They gave the wolves team all they could handle and never gave up. Their coaches couldn't be any more proud of this team and cannot wait to coach these boys next year too.

8th Grade SUPER BOWL:
(#2) Oswego Blue 26  - (#1) Plano 20
Congratulations to the 8th grade Blue football team on finishing their youth football careers as Champions! They played the unbeaten Plano team like a group of young men who were determined to go out on top. They played a complete football game and they deserved that win. You will be missed next season but best of luck in high school next year.

Special THANK YOU to all of our 8th Grade Football players and Cheerleaders (listed below) for all that they have done for OYTF. They have all grown into great young adults and they will be missed next year but we know that they will excel in high school.

Thank you for everything and we hope that you enjoyed your time with us. As you see below, we have some 8th graders who started in 1st grade and played or cheered all the way through 8th grade. Kids are always welcome to join OYTF even if it's not until their 8th grade season!
