Plank Junior High to Honor Life of Student

Plank Junior High will honor the life of student Isabella Erickson Nov. 16.

Plank Junior High School will honor the life of Isabella Erickson on Monday, Nov. 16. 

Isabella, a 12-year-old student at Plank Junior High in Oswego, died July 4 after the ATV she was driving with her dad as a passenger left the roadway in rural Nokomis went into the ditch and hit a tree. John was hospitalized with broken ribs, a concussion and a bruised lung among other injuries.

The school will honor Isabella with a balloon release at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 16. Students will have the opportunity to purchase balloons for $1, and the proceeds will go to fund a memorial in the school’s garden.
