Position Title: Church Secretary

Reports To: Staff Parish Relations Committee and Pastor Phil Sheets

Position Objective: Responsible for the administration and coordination of a broad range of church office activities of considerable complexity, in support of the church’s goals and objectives.

Position Summary:  The primary responsibility of the Church Secretary is to complete all office duties and projects as directed by manager (Church Committee Chairman and/or boards and Pastor) in a timely manner and error-free.

This position provides support to various church committees, the Pastor, and members of the congregation by performing administrative tasks, managing a wide variety of office activities and systems, and identifying and resolving problems.

Assignments may be ambiguous and the incumbent is responsible for determining work methods and coordinating projects with others. The Church Secretary is responsible for prioritizing their own workload and developing procedures.

The Church Secretary is also responsible for overall accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality. This position will be part-time requiring 2 days per week for a total of approximately 15 hours based on work load.
