Woman Hospitalized After Accident with Drunken Driver: Police

A Yorkville woman reported to Oswego Police that someone attempted to withdrawal about $9,000 from her bank account at U.S. Bank in Oswego at about 2:40 p.m. Nov. 22. The bank did not allow the transaction to proceed and the incident is still under investigation, police said.
Kendall County Sheriff's deputies responded to the Hide-A-Way Lakes campground at about 9 p.m. Nov. 21 for a report of shots fired. Witnesses reported seeing a truck speeding off the property shortly after. Deputies found two shell casings in the area, but no damage appears to have been done.
Driver hits side of building
A 17-year-old Montgomery boy drove into the side of the building at 49 Stonehill Road at about 12:35 p.m. Nov. 21, according to an Oswego Police report. No injuries were reported, but more than $1,500 in damages was done. No tickets were issued at the time of the report.
A resident of the 0-99 block of Curtmar Court reported that someone broke into his garage sometime before 1:10 p.m. Nov. 21 and stole a GoPro camera, an air rifle and several tools, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. There is no suspect information in the case.
A resident of the 2200 block of Light Road reported that someone entered his apartment and stole a laptop computer, a silver chain and various articles of clothing sometime before 12:45 a.m. Nov. 21, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. There are no suspects in the case.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested for driving 64 mph in a 35 mph zone at about 8:20 p.m. Nov. 20 near Douglas and Old Post roads, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report.
Accident hospitalizes woman
A 76-year-old Oswego woman was hospitalized after an accident at Plainfield Road and Linden Drive at about 3:10 p.m. Nov. 20, according to an Oswego Police report. Police said the woman pulled out into traffic on Plainfield Road and struck the side of a truck driven by a 72-year-old Arkansas man. The accident caused the trailer the man was pulling to rollover into the ditch, police said. No tickets had been issued at the time of the report, police said.
Warrant arrest after ambulance call
Ronald White, 42, of the 2000 block of Light Road, was arrested on an outstanding warrant after an ambulance was called to his home at about noon Nov. 20. The sheriff's office said White was asleep in a chair, but that someone called 911 to report that he had stopped breathing. After White signed a medical release, he was arrested on an in-state warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia, the sheriff's office said.
Robert Hefner, 43, of Yorkville, was arrested for DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at about 5:20 p.m. Nov. 18 after a two-car accident near Mill Road and Willowwood Drive, according to an Oswego Police report. Hefner was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center for his injuries as was the driver of the other vehicle, a 59-year-old Oswego woman.
Hit and run
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver of a silver Chevrolet Tahoe that was involved in an accident at about 8:10 a.m. Nov. 17 near Route 71 and Reservation Road. According to the sheriff's office, a 25-year-old Sheridan woman struck the back of the Tahoe, causing extensive damage. However, the driver of the Tahoe drove off before information could be exchanged. Anyone with information regarding this accident is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 630-553-7500.
Three Plainfield 18-year-olds were arrested on drug charges at about 9:45 p.m. Nov. 17 near Paradise Parkway and Iris Court, according to an Oswego report. Kaitlyn Marek and Justin Tolentino were both arrested for possession of marijuana and Samantha Meade was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Marek also was arrested for paraphernalia possession, police said.
A resident of the 800 block of Canton Drive reported that sometime during the past year about $3,000 in jewelry was stolen from the home. The theft was reported to police Nov. 17. There is no suspect information in the case.
Water pumps damaged
Two industrial water pumps were reported damaged at G.A. Blocker, 18 Stonehill Road, sometime before 9 a.m. Nov. 16, according to an Oswego Police report. The damage is estimated at $500, police said.
Ryan Cooney, 21, of Montgomery, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana at about 11:45 p.m. Nov. 16 near Routes 34 and 30, according to an Oswego Police report.
