Local Martial Artist Wins Gold at World Championships

Mason Bumba won seven gold medals in November at World Kickboxing Association (WKA) in the Unified World Championships.

Mason Bumba recently travel to Benidorm, Spain to represent the United States World Kickboxing Association (WKA) in the Unified World Championships.  Mason competed in Martial Arts creative forms, traditional weapons, extreme weapons, and kickboxing (point fighting).  

He competed in seven divisions and qualified for each division, making it to the medal rounds on the final day. Mason, who trains in Oswego, won seven out of seven gold medals for his country.  

Team USA brought 16 competitors to Spain to compete with over 70 countries. Team USA as a whole brought home 64 Gold Medals, 22 Silver, and 11 Bronze.
