Gun Stolen in Home Break-In: Police

Excessive speeding

A 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested for speeding more than 40 mph over the legal limit at about 7:40 p.m. December 27 at Route 31 and Anchor Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. The sheriff's office said the juvenile was traveling 42 mph over the speed limit, and was taken to the Kendall County Jail without incident. 

Gun stolen in burglary

A resident in the 0-99 block of Lyncliff Drive, Oswego Township, reported someone broke into his home sometime before 1 a.m. Dec. 24 and stole a firearm, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. There are no suspects in this case, the sheriff's office said. 

Storage unit theft

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is investigating a rash of storage unit break-ins that occurred sometime overnight Dec. 20 in the 100 block of Route 30. There are no suspects in the case, the sheriff's office said.

Burglary

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is investigating a residential burglary that occurred in the 200 block of Fernwood sometime overnight Dec. 20. Another resident in the same block reported an attempted burglary from the same evening, but nothing was stolen in that incident.There are no suspects in either case, the sheriff's office said. 

Domestic battery

Amber Payne, 26, of Oswego, was arrested for domestic battery at about 9:40 p.m. Dec. 20 at her home in the 500 block of Bison Road, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Domestic battery

Dawn Lees, 35, of Oswego, was arrested for domestic battery at about 9 p.m. Dec. 20 at her home in the 4000 block of Southerland Drive, according to an Oswego Police report.
