An Aurora man is facing a total of seven felony charges for an alleged beating and kidnapping that occurred in Oswego in November.
On Nov. 17 Oswego Police responded to the 300 block of Springbrook Trail for a report of a domestic battery that had previously taken place in the area. A 22-year-old woman said she was speaking with Jacob Reddick, 26, in his car when he hit her several times, Oswego Police said.
As the woman attempted to leave the car, Reddick allegedly chocked her and then drove away with the woman still in the car. Reddick eventually stopped in Aurora and let the woman out of the car, police said.
The woman was picked up by a family member and Oswego Police were then called. The woman was treated for her injuries at an area hospital, police said.
A Kendall County judge issued a warrant for Reddick's arrest on Dec. 10, and he was taken into custody Jan. 12.
Reddick is charged with aggravated domestic battery, two counts of domestic battery, unlawful restraint, two counts of kidnapping and theft.
