OHS Grad Joins Kendall County Sheriff's Department

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office has hired a new Deputy Sheriff to fill a vacant position in the Corrections Division.

Oswego High School graduate Lee Cooper was sworn in on Feb. 1 by Sheriff Dwight A. Baird. Cooper will attend the Correction’s Officer Academy at the Police Training Institute in DuPage County beginning on Feb. 15.

Upon successful completion of the academy, Cooper will be paired with an experienced Field Training Officer and will undergo a 12-week field training program.

Cooper is an Oswego resident and  a third-generation law enforcement officer, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, both retired law enforcement officers.
