LUNAFEST Film Festival Returns to Oswego Village Hall

LUNAFEST, the fundraising film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women's issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their communities and hosted by the Village of Oswego Cultural Arts Commission at the Oswego Village Hall on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
This film festival highlights women as leaders in society, illustrated through nine short films by women filmmakers. The films range from animation to fictional drama, and cover topics such as women’s health, motherhood, body image, aging, cultural diversity and breaking barriers.
All proceeds from LUNAFEST will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund and Mutual Ground. Thus far, LUNAFEST, which is created and funded by LUNA®, The Whole Nutrition Bar for Women®, raised over $757,000 for Breast Cancer Fund and over $1,715,000 for other women’s non-profit organizations.
Each viewing begins with a reception at 3 p.m. or 7 p.m. which includes a dessert buffet, shopping from local vendors and beverages, followed by the films. Tickets are $20 each and available at lunafest.org now or at Oswego Village Hall.
