Oswego Police are investigating 'suspicious activity' that occurred near a school bus stop Wednesday morning.

According to Oswego Police spokeswoman Cathy Nevara, police were called to Long Beach Elementary School for a report of a vehicle that was "driving aimlessly" near a school bus stop at Farmington Lakes Drive and Springbrook Trail North. Nevara said the vehicle also followed the bus on its way to the school.

School staff was alerted to the suspicious activity by students, Nevara said.

The vehicle was described as a rusty, older model white convertible with a black top. Both the driver and occupant were described as
thin, black males in their mid-30s, wearing black clothing.

No children were approached, and the incident is still under investigation, Nevara said.

While the information has yet to be substantiated, Nevara said "
parents (should) encourage their children to report any behavior they find suspicious to a trusted adult immediately."

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Oswego Police at (630) 551-7300.
