The Kendall County State's Attorney has approved three charges of aggravated battery against Brian Freitag, stemming from this incident.
An Oswego man is in custody after allegedly locking himself and two children inside a home Wednesday evening.
According to Oswego Police spokeswoman Cathy Nevara, Brian Freitag, 33, was arrested for obstructing police after officers were called to the home in 4000 block of McLaren Drive at about 6:20 p.m.
Nevara said police were called to the home for a well-being check, and when they arrived they found Freitag was in the house possibly intoxicated with children.
According to Nevara, Freitag had locked the home, refused to answer the door, or phone and had turned off the home's power.
About 30 minutes later, a family member authorized police to force entry into the home. The children were found unharmed and Freitag was arrested a short time later, Nevara said.
He is currently in the custody of the Oswego Police, Nevara said.
