The village of Oswego soon will be home to a Five Guys Burger and Fries Restaurant.
Village President Gail Johnson made the announcement at the Village Board meeting Tuesday night.
Five Guys will be located in the out-lot development currently under construction on the corner of Douglas Road and Route 34 in the space that formerly was home to the Dominick's gas station.
Oswego's Economic Development Director Vijay Gadde said Blaze Pizza, which had previously signed a letter of intent to locate in the strip, pulled out of the deal and Five Guys will now be moving into that space.
The space will be turned over to the tenants within the next month and the build out will begin from there, Gadde said. Gadde also said Five Guys was ranked in the top 5 of businesses Oswego residents want in town on a recent community survey.
Other confirmed tenants of the space include AT&T, and national mattress retailer.
