Inmate Facing New Charges After Hitting Kendall Corrections Officer

Curfew/pot possession

Two juveniles were arrested at about 12:30 a.m. March 28 near Pomeroy and Stratford, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. A 16-year-old male from Boulder Hill was arrested for possession of marijuana, and a 16-year-old Aurora girl was arrested for curfew violation, the sheriff's office said. 

Pot possession

Daniel Somerset, 29, of the 0-99 block of Briarwood Lane, was arrested for possession of marijuana at about 9:15 p.m. March 27 in the 1000 block of Route 25, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Somerset was pulled over for expired registration and was found to be in possession of 740 grams of a substance that contained marijuana, the sheriff's office said. 

Pot possession

Kevin Scott, 18, of Aurora, was arrested for possession of marijuana at about 2:30 a.m. March 27 near Ashland and Park, according to an Oswego Police report. A 17-year-old juvenile also was arrested for unlawful possession alcohol, police said. 

Corrections officer hit

Terrence Calhoun, 34, of Oaklawn, was arrested for aggravated battery to a police officer after twice hitting a Kendall County Correction Officer in the head at about 3:35 p.m. March 25 while in custody at the Kendall County Jail. 

Woman Hospitalized after accident

An 18-year-old Plainfield woman was hospitalized after a two-car accident at about 4 p.m. March 25 near Washington Street and Grove Road, according to an Oswego Police report. No tickets were issued to either driver in the accident, police said. 

Wallet stolen

A 71-year-old Oswego woman reported that her wallet was stolen and her credit card used at about 12:45 p.m. March 23, according to an Oswego Police report. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of Douglas Road, police said. 

Damage to vehicle

Oswego Police are investigating criminal damage to a vehicle incident that occurred at about 1:30 p.m. March 22 in the 2300 block of Route 34. No suspect information was given by police.
