Artists, Designers Sought for Park District Recycled Fashion Show

Mar 28, 2016 03:59PM ● Published by Steven Jack

Prepare your best looks for Earth Couture on the Oswego runway this Spring.

The Oswegoland Park District encourages aspiring artists and designers to try their hand at recycled fashion in the upcoming Project Greenway Recycled Fashion Show on April 22 at 7pm at the Fox Bend Golf Course.

Go “green” this spring with natural or recycled materials in this innovative challenge. Repurpose discarded items into an accessory or go all out and create an outfit to walk down the “greenway” in the first ever Project Greenway Fashion Show.

A panel of judges will critique submitted pieces and award a cash prize to the top look.  Winning ensembles and accessories will be displayed at the Oswego Public Library.

Those looking to peruse the pretty can watch the show at Pearce’s Pavilion, Fox Bend Golf Course 3516 Route 34, Oswego.

See what is on trend and what is a lust-have in this full fashion show experience for $5 per person. Entry includes fashion show, People’s Choice ticket to vote for your favorite accessory, additional entertainment, a complimentary beverage, and mingling with the designers.

Contact Cori Veverka at 630.554.4433 or cveverka@oswegolandpd.org for more information about participating or attending.
