Drivers Hospitalized After Route 31 Crash: Police

Norma Valerio, 34, of Aurora, was arrested for DUI at about 5:30 a.m. May 1 near Route 30 and Wolf's Crossing Road, according to an Oswego Police report.
Joni Kasparek, 53, of Naperville, was arrested for DUI and improper lane use at about 1:20 a.m. April 30 near Route 34 and Kendall Point Drive, according to an Oswego Police report.
Pot, paraphernalia possession
Michael Schonder, 21, of Oswego, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at about 7 p.m. April 27, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Schonder was originally stopped for an equipment violation on his car, but was found to be in possession of over 17 grams of marijuana, multiple smoking pipes, a grinder and scale, the sheriff's office said.
Accident with injuries
A 55-year-old Batavia man crossed over the center line on Route 31 near Century Dr. at about 7:30 a.m. April 26, causing an accident that sent him and another man to the hospital. According to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report, the man was traveling southbound on Route 31 when he entered the oncoming traffic lane and struck a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old Oswego man. Both men sustained injuries and were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for injuries. No tickets have been issued, the sheriff's office said.
Allante Tolliver, 27, of Country Club Hills, was arrested for domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery at about 10 p.m. April 26 in the 100 block of Light Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report.
Wedding ring stolen
A resident in the 100 block of Breaburn Road reported the theft of a wedding ring to Kendall County Sheriff's Deputies April 26. According to the police report the person's ex-spouse is believed to have taken the ring in December of 2015. The theft is still under investigation, the sheriff's office said.
Robert Hefner, 44, of Yorkville, was arrested for domestic battery at about 10:20 p.m. April 25 for an incident that occurred at the Boulder Hill Market.
