The Oswegoland Park District’s Limelight Theatre Company is gearing up for their 16th summer season with an epic line up of shows.

Actors ages 8 and up have the opportunity to tackle characters in five different shows. With three original works and two musicals, there is something for everyone. Auditions will be held May 18-21. Interested actors need to sign up for a 5 minute audition slot and prepare one of the monologues (plus a song for a musical). Additional information about rehearsals and performances for each show, as well as audition sign up and audition materials can all be found at

Talkin’ Okaloosa County Blues

Bring your darkly comedic abilities with you in this southern-fried Florida neo-noir in the style of the films of Joel and Ethan Coen, filmmakers behind FargoBlood Simple, and Burn After Reading. When some confiscated money goes missing from an evidence locker, two female sheriff's deputies get mixed up in a whole mess of trouble. A rogue's gallery of law officers, federal agents, small-time crooks, and big-time out-of-town hitmen are each hot on the trail of the missing money. With expressionistic dialogue and black humor, this production is sure to be a unique challenge for actors interested in expanding their abilities in creating unorthodox, memorable characters.
