During this year’s State of the Village address, Village President Gail Johnson unveiled a new village theme, #oswegoconnects, which is intended to connect the Village of Oswego with our residents, businesses, regional partners and more.
To connect with our residents, the Village is inviting residents to its first ever “Community Conversation” on at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, in the gymnasium of Fox Chase Elementary.
In total there are four Community Conversations planned, one for each sector of the Village scheduled throughout the summer, including July 7 at Prairie Point Elementary, July 21 at Thompson Junior High School and August 23 at Churchill Elementary.
During the Community Conversations, the Village will present information important to residents. Topics will include details on Village finances, the new Police Headquarters, the Metra extension, the water system analysis, the Downtown Tax Increment Financing District, and more.
Village officials also will be available during a Q&A session.
