Jun 20, 2016 07:14AM ● Published by Steven Jack

Oswego Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place early Monday morning at the Starbucks on Route 34.

According to Police spokeswoman Cathy Nevara, a white man in his 30s drove up to the drive through window at about 5 a.m. and displayed a handgun. He told the employee he would begin shooting if he wasn't given money.

The employee then gave the man $200 in cash, Nevara said, and he drove off. No one was injured in the incident.

The man then left the area in a dark-colored Dodge vehicle, Nevara said. He is described as heavy set with short red hear and wearing a green shirt.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Oswego Police at 630-551-7300.
