On July 7, Susie Shaddle, president of the Quilters Dozen Quilting Club, presented a $500 check to Bob Stekl, assistant director of the Little White School Museum in Oswego.

Each year, the Quilters create a handmade quilt that is raffled off during the annual PrairieFest community celebration, with the proceeds split between the museum and the Oswegoland Park District. The donation will be used to help preserve the museum’s collections.

This year’s PrairieFest was held June 17-19. The Quilters Dozen meets each Thursday at the Museum, 72 Polk Street, Oswego. For more information on the Quilters Dozen, call 630-554-8743 or 630-896-3352.
