Drug Dealing Juvenile Arrested in Church Parking Lot: Police

Drug dealer arrested in church parking lot
A female juvenile from the 0-99 block of Hillcrest Court was arrested on several charges after stopped with a large amount of marijuana and a digital scale in a local church parking lot. According to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office, they located a vehicle in the parking lot at St. Luke's Church, 11 Pembrook Court, Boulder Hill at about 11:05 p.m July 22. Citing probable cause, deputies searched the vehicle and found about 24 grams of marijuana, packing materials, a digital scale and several items of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested for felony unlawful intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol and possession of alcohol by a minor. Mason Lausier, 18, of the 0-99 block of Pickford, was also arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and alcohol. Both the female juvenile and Lausier were taken to the Kendall County Jail.
Semi damages light pole
Oswego Police are investigating a hit and run after a semi ran over a light pole near Ogden Falls Boulevard and Mandy Lane at about 1:15 p.m. July 23. Police said the semi driver left the area after running over the pole while negotiating a turn at the intersection.
Andrew Broset, 19, of Tonica, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 7:30 p.m. Jul 22 near Route 31 and Century Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Deputies reported he was also in possession of $1,400 cash from the sale of marijuana.
A man in the 2200 block of Light Road reported to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office July 21 that he was the victim of an IRS scam in which the scammers told him to purchase iTunes gift cards to pay his IRS tax debt.
Mail boxes damage
Residents along the 600 block of Hawley Drive reported their mailboxes damaged by a vehicle sometime before 5:45 a.m. July 18, according to Oswego Police. The damage is estimated at more than $500.
Oswego Police took a report for a skateboard that was stolen sometime before 6:40 p.m. July 18 in the 0-99 block of Harrison Street. The skateboard has an estimated value of $180, police said.
Woman hospitalized in crash
A 77-year-old Oswego woman was hospitalized after getting into a car accident at about 6:15 p.m. July 18, according to Oswego Police. A 17-year-old Oswego man attempted to make a u-turn on Route 34 near Boulder Hill Pass, and as he did so he was struck by the woman's car coming from the other direction. She was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for her injuries.
