Oswego Triathlon Coming Up This Weekend

If you have the desire to test your athletic abilities then the Oswegoland Park District has an upcoming event that will fit you perfectly! On Sunday, August 7th, the 30th annual I Tried a Triathlon will once again hit the streets of the Boulder Hill neighborhood.

This triathlon has been designed to allow people of all skill levels to participate. The course contains a 250 yard swim (5 laps), 6.5 mile bike ride, and a 2.1 mile run. The race will be timed by Champion Chip 247, and split times will be provided.

The triathlon will begin at the Civic Center located at 5 Ashlawn Avenue in Oswego. Race day registration is $50 and will begin at 6:30am. Athletes 12 and under must compete with a registered adult.

Bikes and helmets must be brought by the athlete and they must obey all traffic laws as the roads will not be closed to traffic.   

Race-day registration will be available starting at 7:15 a.m.
