What's Happening at the 2016 Kendall County Fair

The 2016 Kendall County Fair gets underway this week at the fairgrounds on Route 71 in Yorkville. 

Preparations for this year's fair started Tuesday, but the big attractions begin Thursday. 
Here's a look at some of this year's scheduled highlights, along with other information you will need to know before heading out.

TICKET INFORMATION

Megapass (includes fair entry and all-day carnival rides) $20 adults, $8 children under 5
Day pass for fair only $8 adults, $4 children (5-13), $5 seniors
4-day pass for fair only $24 adults, $12 children, $16 seniors
All Day pass carnival only (requires fair entry pass) $12 adults, $16 children 5-13, $15 seniors

TRAFFIC INFORMATION

At approximately 6:00 a.m. on August 4th, a temporary traffic plan will be implemented during the time the Fair is in operation. ALL FAIR TRAFFIC will be detoured to Legion Road and enter the Fairgrounds off Highpoint Road.

Any traffic traveling Southbound on Routes 71 and 47 will be detoured south to Legion Road, west to Highpoint road, north to the fairgrounds. All northbound traffic on Route 47 will turn west on Legion Road and enter the fairgrounds in the same manner.

All northbound traffic on Route 71 will be detoured to turn east on Legion Road then north on Highpoint to the fairgrounds. NO TRAFFIC WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER HIGHPOINT ROAD FROM ROUTE 71while the fair is in operation. Highpoint road at Route 71 will be exit only.
