Downtown Oswego to Host Emergency Vehicle Show

In cooperation with the Village of Oswego, the Oswego Fire Protection District welcomes the19th annual Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show (CEVS) to downtown Oswego.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday night, Aug. 5 with the Lights & Sirens parade, starting on Route 31 in North Aurora and winding its way past the North Aurora Days festival on Randall Road, through Aurora & downtown Montgomery, and completing the parade through downtown Oswego, ending at Oswego Fire Station #1.

Join the Oswego Fire Protection District in downtown Oswego for the main event from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, Aug. 6, to see and visit with individual collectors, government agencies, and manufacturers of all sorts of emergency vehicles, as well as a variety of demonstrations put on by local police and fire agencies.

The following is a schedule of events:
  • 10 a.m. Posting of the Colors, Bagpipes and Drums, National Anthem
  • 10:30 a.m. Technical Rescue Demo, Rappelling and FF rescue from Tower Ladder by Oswego Fire
  • Noon Rooftop Rescue Demo by Oswego Fire
  • 12:30 p.m. Single Vehicle Crash extrication demo by Oswego Fire
  • 1 p.m. Aurora Police K9 demo
  • 1:30 p.m. Antique Fire Engine Pumping
  • 2:30 p.m. Two Vehicle Crash Extrication Demo by Oswego Fire
  • 3:30 p.m. Award Ceremony
