Aug 16, 2016 10:53AM ● Published by Steven Jack

An Oswego teen and a juvenile were arrested late Monday night after they were seen breaking into a car off Old Post Road, Oswego Police said.

According to police, Tywan Jones, 18, of the 300 block of Barnaby Drive, and a juvenile were observed by a homeowner on Joseph Court breaking into a vehicle at about 11:15 p.m. The homeowner called police, and the two were arrested nearby a short time later.

Police spokeswoman Cathy Nevara said the incident is still under investigation, but the two are alleged to have stolen an undetermined amount of money from the car. Nevara could not say whether they may be responsible for other car break-ins in the area.

Both Jones and the juvenile are facing criminal trespass to vehicle charges.
