An Oswego man who was driving for Uber has been arrested for stealing and using the credit cards of a passenger.

According to Oswego Police spokeswoman Cathy Nevara, Farzad Khamissi, 37, of the 400 block of Dancer Lane, was arrested in early August after allegedly making unauthorized purchases at several Oswego businesses with the credit cards of a Geneva woman. The woman had been a passenger in his Uber car in June.

The woman told police she accidentally left her phone and credit cards in the backseat of Khamissi's vehicle. Khamissi charged over $500 in merchandise to the woman's cards, Nevara said.

Khamissi turned himself into police and was charged with four felony counts of unlawful use of a credit card. He was released after paying 10 percent of a $10,000 bond.
