Loose Dog Attacks Woman, Her Dogs: Police

A woman and her two dogs were bitten by another dog at about 7:15 p.m. Sept. 11 on Plymouth Court near Heritage Drive, according to an Oswego Police report. Neither the woman nor her dogs required medical attention, police said. The owner of the attacking dog, Israel Diaz, of the 600 block of Plymouth Court, was cited for allowing his dog to run loose and possession of a vicious animal, police said.
A female juvenile was arrested for domestic battery at about 5:45 p.m. Sept. 11 near Van Buren and Madison streets in Oswego, according to an Oswego Police report.
Someone broke the rear window of an SUV parked in the 0-100 block of Fifth Street at around 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10, according to an Oswego Police report. No entry was gained to the SUV, police said.
Revoked license, drug paraphernalia
William R. Shelly Jr., 48, of 205 Robinson St. in Sheridan, was arrested by Oswego Police at 8:40 p.m. Sept. 9 at Route and Douglas Road on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked license, according to police.
Marijuana, alcohol arrests
Javier Alvarez, 19, of Aurora, was arrested by Oswego Police at 1:40 a.m. Sept. 10 on a charge of possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor, police said. Eric Hernandez Guzman, 18, of Aurora, was also arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and a juvenile was arrested on a charge of possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis, according to a police report.
An unknown suspect entered an apartment in the 0-100 block of Main Street to commit a theft sometime on Sept. 9, according Oswego Police.
Daniel M. Terry, 19, of 659 River St. in Aurora, was arrested by Oswego Police at 2:02 p.m. Sept. 9 at Walmart, 2300 Route 34, on a charge of retail theft, police said. According to a police report, Terry is accused of taking an item or items totaling $19.
Stolen license plate
Oswego Police responded to a report of a stolen license plate on Sept. 7. According to police, the license plate was taken off a vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Douglas Road sometime in August.
Mailbox damaged, stolen
A red metal Veeders mailbox valued at $500 was struck by a vehicle and then stolen by an unknown person sometime between 11 p.m. Aug. 26 and 11:15 a.m. Aug. 27 in the 600 block of Rance Road, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
Two hurt in crash
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at Wolf’s Crossing Road and Fifth Street at around 8:01 a.m. Sept. 7, according to Oswego Police. Meagan E. Smith, 26, of Oswego, was taken to Rusy-Copley Hospital in Aurora for her injuries, and was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, police said. The driver of the other vehicle, a 53-year-old Naperville woman, was also injured but was not transported to a hospital, according to a police report.
Glass door broken
Someone broke a glass storm door in the 100 block of Hartford Court, Oswego Police said.
Altercation at elementary school
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Builder Hill Elementary School park, 163 Boulder Hill Pass, at around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 4 after a report of a battery between two juveniles, police said. After investigating, deputies determined that one male juvenile was the aggressor in the incident and completed a juvenile referral. No significant injuries were reported, according to a police report.
Someone spray painted a curb in front of a home in the 600 block of Manhattan Circle, Oswego Police said.
Oswego Police are investigating a residential burglary reported at 2:37 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 2400 block of Route 31, police said.
Someone stole $26 worth of gas from Shell, 55 Chicago Road, at 1:10 p.m. Sept. 6, Oswego Police said.
Stolen cell phone
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported theft of a cell phone from the Sunshine Motel, 1147 Route 30, according to a police report.
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 0-100 block of Leisure Lane sometime between 6 a.m. Sept. 1 and 2 p.m. Sept. 2, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
Someone took three bicycles without permission from a home in the 500 block of Waterford sometime on Aug. 28, Oswego Police said.
