Oswego Police are investigating a threatening letter received Sept. 15 at Oswego Fire Protection District’s Station #1, 3511 Woolley Road.

Police spokeswoman Cathy Nevara would not comment on the content of the anonymous letter, except to say it contained “a threat of violence.”

The letter did not mention a specific target, according to Nevara.

The threat is under investigation, and police currently do not have a suspect, Nevara said.

According to Nevara, police do not believe there is anything in the letter to indicate a risk to the public.
