Describe your organization Moms & More is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of women within the community; through all the stages, phases and transitions of motherhood. Moms & More welcomes all moms.
Our membership includes women of all ages, with children of all ages. It includes those who have left the paid workplace and those who are working for pay part-time, full-time and everything in between. Whether a mom is engaged in the paid workplace or not, we recognize that the unpaid work that all moms do caring for their families is real work with real social and economic value.
Why did you start your organization? Our former national umbrella organization dissolved and closed all chapters nationwide. We were one of the largest and most active chapters. Our group leaders and others on the board felt strongly to continue the life of our group within our community. We are active with over 80 members and growing strong!
Tell us something unique about your organization Members of our board are all volunteer based. The purpose of the group is to provide a fellowship of motherhood for local area moms whether it's just for mom or mom & family. There are so many options and points of interests in our group!
Our clubs include; Recipe Club, Book Club, Freezer meal exchange, Bingo, Dinner Club, and Craft Club! Our outtings with our Mom & Tot events have included visits to Bounce Town or Ball factory. We also host our annual family picnic during the summer all the way to our moms' holiday party in the winter! Almost every holiday has an event.
