Man Arrested After Car Chase: Police

Battery
Oswego Police took a report of a domestic battery with minor injuries at 9 p.m. Sept. 24 in the 500 block of Chestnut, according to a police report. An investigation is pending.
 
Battery
Lina Scioli, 45, of the 600 block of Manhattan Circle, was arrested by Oswego Police on a charge of battery at 10:23 p.m. Sept. 24, police said.
 
DUI
Marcus David Nelson, 40, of the 100 block of Claremont Court, Yorkville, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s police at 8:21 p.m. Sept. 24 at Route 25 and Boulder Hill Pass and charged with DUI after being stopped for multiple lane use violations, police said.
 
DUI
Gabino Barrera Jr., 24, of the 700 block of Benton in Aurora was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s police on a charge of DUI after his vehicle struck a tree at 2:35 a.m. Sept. 24 in the 0-100 block of Durango Road in Montgomery, police said. Barrera was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving left of center on an unmarked roadway, according to police. Barrera was checked out by Oswego paramedics before being taken to the Kendall County Jail, police said.
 
Cannabis, suspended license
Anthony Albert Binder, 28, of the 400 block of Terrace Lane, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s police at 10:36 p.m. Sept. 23 at Route 34 and O’Brien Way after being stopped for following too closely, police said. Deputies discovered that Binder had a revoked driver’s license and was in possession of cannabis and a cannabis-smoking pipe, according to a police report. Binder was arrested and cited for driving while license revoked, following too closely, driving an uninsured vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis.
 
Retail theft
Oswego Police are investigating a retail theft of an item or items valued at $118 from Meijer, 2700 Route 34, at 9 p.m. Sept. 23, according to a police report.
 
Identity theft
Oswego Police are investigating a report of identity theft made Sept. 23 in which the suspect used the victim’s identity to open credit card accounts without her knowledge, police said.
 
Hit and run
An unknown person struck a vehicle in a parking lot at 434 Treasure Drive sometime between 6:30 a.m. Sept. 20 and 7 a.m. Sept. 21, causing damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle, Oswego Police said. Anyone with information on the hit and run is asked to contact Oswego Police at 630-551-7300.
 
Domestic battery
Carina N. Demarco, 22, of the 2400 block of Tanglewood, Lisle, was arrested by Oswego Police at 10:34 a.m. Sept. 22 in the 400 block of Bower Lane on a charge of domestic battery, police said.
 
Burglary
Oswego Police are investigating a burglary from a garage that occurred at around 8:45 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 500 block of Heritage Drive. Item or items worth an estimated $850 were stolen, police said.
 
Burglary
Someone stole a 65” Vizio TV and a 65” LG TV from a locked storage unit at Public Storage, 184 Lincoln Highway, sometime between Sept. 2 and Sept. 20, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
 
Fleeing and eluding
Alfonso Murillo, 26, of the 1000 block of Hartford Court, Schiller Park, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s Office after fleeing when deputies attempted to stop him for a traffic violation at 7:56 p.m. Sept. 19 at Boulder Hill Pass and Route 25, according to a Kendall County police report. After obtaining the vehicle’s registration plate number, deputies terminated a pursuit, police said. After making contact with the vehicle’s owner, deputies identified Murillo as the driver. Murillo was arrested on charges of speeding, disobeying a stop sign, driving on a revoked license and fleeing and eluding, police said.
 
Stolen alcohol
Unknown subjects stole several bottles of alcohol worth $469.01 from Walmart, 2300 Route 34, at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 20, Oswego Police said.
 
Retail theft
Derrick N. Jenkins, 34, of 1392 Glen Circle, Aurora, was arrested on a charge of retail theft at 9:52 a.m. Sept. 19 at Walmart, 2300 Route 34, Oswego Police said.
 
Retail theft
A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested on a charge of retail theft at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at Walmart, 2300 Route 34, according to Oswego Police.
 
Graffiti at park
Someone spray painted graffiti at Prairie Point Park, 4120 Plainfield Road, sometime before 7:57 a.m. Sept. 18, Oswego Police said.
 
Battery
Lesley Hill, 53, of 2344 Amsterdam Circle, Montgomery, was arrested at 8:14 a.m. Sept. 17 at 2700 Route 34 and charged with battery, Oswego Police said.
 
Unlawful consumption
Vincent A. Eno, 18, of the 100 block of Harbor Drive, was arrested by Oswego Police at 5:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Cinderford Drive and charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol, police said.
 
Trespassing to a vehicle
Kendall County Sheriff’s Police are investigating a report of criminal trespassing to a vehicle that occurred overnight Sept. 16 in the 0-100 block of Paddock Street, police said. No items were taken from the vehicle.
 
Hit and run
Someone struck a vehicle, causing it to hit a curb, before fleeing the scene at 5:46 p.m. Sept. 16 at Douglas and Wolf roads, according to an Oswego Police report.
 
Graffiti at library
Someone spray painted a wall at the Oswego Public Library, 32 W. Jefferson St., Oswego Police said.
 
Trespassing
An unknown subject broke a window of the back door at a home in the 0-100 block of Old Post Road and entered the home at 8 a.m. Sept. 10, according to Kendall County Sheriff’s police. An investigation is ongoing, police said.
