Man Arrested for Allegedly Kicking Oswego Paramedic: Police

Nakia F. Fields, 20, of 1830 Ashwood, Aurora, was arrested by Oswego police at 6:17 p.m. Oct. 1 at Walmart, 2300 Route 34, and charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing at least two bottles of alcohol, police said.
Two hurt in crash
A 20-year-old Aurora woman and a 17-year-old Yorkville girl were taken to Rush-Copley Hospital in Aurora for injuries sustained in a two-car crash at Route 126 and Ridge Road at 8:18 p.m. Oct. 1, police said. Kendall County Sheriff’s police said Alycia Lyons, 29, of 8100 Old Ridge Road, Plainfield, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after her vehicle struck a disabled vehicle in the eastbound lane of Route 126 at Ridge Road.
Karrie Ann Franzen, 38, of the 1200 block of Clearwater Drive, Yorkville, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s police at 11:11 p.m. Sept. 30 at Budlong and Orchard roads on a charge of DUI and failure to yield after deputies responded to a property damage accident. Franzen was arrested after performing field sobriety tests, police said.
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of property damage after someone threw rocks through the windows of two apartments in the 100 block of Harbor Drive at around 11:51 p.m. Sept. 30, police said.
Someone stole a bicycle from the Spirit Halloween store, 2400 Route 34, at 2:20 p.m. Sept. 30, according to Oswego Police.
Andrew James Halegua, 21, of the 2000 block of Light Road was arrested on a charge of domestic battery after allegedly pushing and punching his ex-girlfriend at around 8:30 a.m. Sept. 29 in the 2400 block of Light Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s report.
Aggravated assault, resisting
Steven P. Fluke, 51, of 5095 Route 34, Oswego, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s police on charges of aggravated assault and resisting a peace officer, police said. Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in the 5000 block of Route 34 at 9:46 p.m. Sept. 29. Upon arrival, deputies were informed by Fluke that he was injured and wanted medical attention, police said. When Oswego Fire Protection District medics arrived on the scene, Fluke allegedly attempted to kick a medic before resisting arrest while being arrested by two deputies, police said.
Theft at OEHS
Oswego Police investigated a theft of an item or items worth an estimated $400 at 8:13 p.m. Sept. 29 at Oswego East High School, 1525 Harvey Road, police said.
Nicole V. Plum, 42, of 162 Heathgate, Montgomery, was arrested by Oswego police at Walmart, 2300 Route 34, at 11:06 p.m. Sept. 29 on a charge of trespassing to land, according to a police report.
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 16-year-old male on a charge of domestic battery after responding to the 100-200 block of Heathgate Road at 9:02 p.m. Sept. 28, police said.
Oswego Police are investigating property damage reported at 12:06 a.m. Sept. 26 in which someone damaged the front door of a home in the 800 block of Bohannon Circle, according to a police report.
Assault, disorderly conduct
A male juvenile was arrested by Oswego Police at 8:17 p.m. Sept. 29 in the 0-100 block of Hampton Road on charges of assault and disorderly conduct after allegedly assaulting two female juveniles, police said.
Two 16-year-old juveniles were arrested by Oswego Police at 10 a.m. Sept. 26 at Oswego East High School, 1525 Harvey Road, on a charge of disorderly conduct, according to a police report.
Amanda Owens, 35, of 2177 Walcott Road, Aurora, was arrested by Oswego Police at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 25 at Walmart, 2300 Route 34, on a charge of retail theft and two active warrants, police said.
Stolen purse, wallet
A 45-year-old Plainfield woman reported that someone used her debit card at an Oswego gas station after stealing her purse from her vehicle at 4:44 p.m. Sept. 25, according to an Oswego Police report.
A 41-year-old Yorkville woman reported that her wallet was stolen at 12:54 p.m. Sept. 25 in the 2400 block of Route 34, according to an Oswego Police report.
Damaged garage door
Someone damaged a garage door in the 100 block of Pineridge Drive at around 2 a.m. Sept. 25, Oswego Police said.
