Each year for its First Lego League competition, the Thompson Junior High robotics teams must research and present a solution for a real world problem.  This year’s theme is “Animal Allies”.

Students must identify, research and present a solution to improve animal and human interactions.  This year the Thompson Robotics team focused on service dogs.

They were fortunate to receive a visit from Deputy Flanders and Tazewell from the Kendall County Sheriff Department.  Deputy Flanders explained the training, resources, and daily responsibilities of a K9 team.
