92-Year-Old Woman Robbed of Jewelry: Police

Stolen phone
Oswego Police are investigating a report of a theft of a cell phone worth an estimated $100 at 1:41 a.m. Oct. 23 from Shell, 1190 Route 34, according to a police report.
 
Street racing
Deputies responded to a report of street racing in the 1900 and 2500 blocks of Wheeler Road at 3:14 a.m. Oct. 23, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s report. Vehicles left the area prior to deputies arriving, police said.
 
Broken windows
The driver’s side window and windshield of a vehicle parked in the 30 block of Pleasantview Drive were damaged at around 10:30 p.m. Oct. 21, according to Kendall County Sheriff’s police.
 
Oswego Police are investigating a report that someone shot out windows on a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Monroe Street with a BB/pellet gun sometime between Oct. 21 and 22, police said.
 
Windows on two additional parked vehicles in the 200 and 300 blocks of Monroe were broken sometime overnight between Oct. 21 and 22, Oswego Police said.
 
The driver’s side window of on a vehicle in the 200 block of Forest Avenue was broken on Oct. 22, Oswego Police said.
 
Car hits deer
Oswego Police responded to a one-vehicle crash in which a Ford Focus struck a deer near Orchard and Mill roads at around 6:25 a.m. Oct. 22, police said. The driver was not injured, according to a police report.
 
Debit card stolen from locker
A debit card was stolen from a locker at Fitness Advantage 24/7, 4591 Route 71, on Oct. 20 and later used in other jurisdictions, according to an Oswego Police report.
 
Man found sleeping in truck
Bruce C. Webb, 58, of the 0-100 block of Pomeroy Road, Montgomery, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s police at 12:07 a.m. Oct. 20 on a charge of DUI after deputies found him sleeping at the wheel of an illegally parked pickup truck, according to a police report.

Threatening texts
A man in the 100 block of Dolores Street on Oct. 23 reported receiving threatening text messages from an unknown phone number, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report.
 
Burglary
Deputies responded to a residential burglary in the 300 block of Boulder Hill Pass in which someone forced entry through an open window and stole multiple pieces of jewelry between 5 p.m. and 9:22 p.m. Oct. 19, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report.
 
Power tools and bicycles were reported stolen Oct. 20 from a garage in the 200 block of Fernwood, Kendall County Sheriff’s Police said. The burglary occurred about a month earlier, police said.
 
A 92-year-old woman in the 50 block of Circle Drive West told Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies that two females entered her home at 4:19 p.m. Oct. 18 and stole her jewelry, police said. The elderly victim told police she was tricked into letting the suspects into the home, according to a police report.
 
Reckless driving
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report that a white Hyundai Elantra was driving at a high rate of speed at around 1:40 p.m. in the 10 block of Denham Drive when the driver lost control and drove through the front yard of a residence, police said. There are currently no suspects, according to a police report.
 
Cars hit by paintballs, pumpkin
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Schlapp Road and Plainfield Road at 8:19 p.m. Oct. 21 after someone threw a yellow pumpkin or gourd out of the driver’s side window of a pickup truck, hitting the victim’s vehicle and damaging the bumper, police said. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a white Dodge pickup truck with a yellow lightbar across the roof, according to a police report.
 
A 48-year-old man and 25-year-old woman told Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies that their vehicles were struck by paintballs while driving through the 40 block of Fernwood Road at around 4 p.m. Oct. 18, according to a police report.
 
Stolen baby formula
A male and female entered Jewel/Oswego, 3795 Orchard Road, at 1 p.m. Oct. 19 and stole an unknown quantity of baby formula, Oswego Police said.
 
Violating order of protection
Phillip John Menefee, 55, of the 200 block of Fernwood Road, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies at 8:55 p.m. Oct.17 and charged with violating an order of protection after deputies performed a well-being check at the address, police said. Earlier in the evening, deputies responded to a verbal domestic incident at the address and served Menefee with an emergency order of protection, according to a police report.
 
Domestic battery
Alejandro Alvarez, 28, of the 0-100 block of Spring Garden Road, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies at 7:18 p.m. Oct. 17 on charges of domestic battery, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and criminal damage to property, according to a police report.
 
Car vandalized
A vehicle parked in the 2200 block of Light Road was spray painted at 11:55 p.m. Oct. 15, according to Kendall County Sheriff’s police.
 
Disorderly conduct
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 0-100 block of Wyndham Road at 11:24 p.m. Oct. 14 after a 28-year-old woman and 26-year-old man allegedly attempted to fight each other in a public roadway, police said. No charges were filed in the incident, according to a police report.
