Traffic Lights Along Route 71 Construction to be Activated

The village of Oswego has announced numerous road construction advisories for the week of Oct. 31. They are as follow:
Tuesday, Nov. 1 Workers will remove and replace the traffic signal control cabinet at intersection of routes 34, 71 and Wolf's Crossing Road. This will require that the intersection be in a 4 way stop condition, utilizing stop signs or flashing red signals. This work will begin at 9 am. This will take most of the day to get the signals operational again.
Tuesday and Wednesday Nov. 1 and 2 Pavement work will start on Douglas Road between US 34 and Wolf's Crossing Road
Wednesday to Friday Nov. 2 to 4 The new signals at Route 71/Washington, Grove/Plainfield, Route 71/Forest, Route 71/Douglas and Route 71/Orchard will be activated.
Tuesday to Saturday, Nov. 2 to 5 Route 71 pavement marking, signing, and various other activities will take place. Lanes of traffic may be switched from the inside lane to the outside lane and back to allow the work to be completed.
Motorists should expect delays through these areas, and they are asked to find alternate routes.
