Oswego Rotary Annual Coat Drive Underway

Nov 04, 2016 07:48AM ● Published by Steven Jack

The Rotary Club of Oswego has announced its 2016-17 Coats for Kendall winter clothing drive.

The Rotary will collect coats, scarves, hats, gloves and mittens beginning in early November through the end of February. The items will be available at no cost through the Kendall County Community Food Pantry.

The Rotary Club of Oswego also will make these coats available as needed through Hesed House, The Wayside Cross, Mutual Ground, Salvation Army and any other agencies that are in need.

As part of the Coats for Kendall program, Rotary Club of Oswego is working with local schools to ensure each student in need can leave school in a warm coat, gloves and a hat this winter.

Look for collections boxes in many local businesses, and at the main entrances at all schools.

This year's coat drive is made possible with the support of  Groot Industries, Keith's Car Care, the Oswego Park District, AutoSmart, Village of Oswego and Nezpique.

Today, Community
