Oswego Fire Announces Start of Toys for Tots Program

Nov 17, 2016 07:26AM ● Published by Steven Jack

Over 5,000 toys and 75 bikes were collected and distributed last year in the Oswego Toys for Tots program.

The Oswego Fire Protection District has announced it will again collect toys for this year's Toys For Tots program.

Every year the Fire
District, Oswego School District 308 Junior High Schools, the U.S. Marine Corps and the Oswego Optimist Club team up to collect toys for families in need during the holiday season. The Fire District, the Junior Highs and Marine Corps collect the toys, and the Optimist Club distributes the toys just before Christmas.

Anyone wishing to participate and
help local families in need may drop off a new unwrapped toy at any of the Oswego Fire Stations.

More importantly, if you are a family in need or you know a family in need, contact the Fire District at 630-554-2110. Those in need may also go to the Oswego Optimist Club website directly at and request assistance for the holidays.

Last year over 5,000 toys and 75 bicycles were collected and distributed in the Kendall County area.

For more information, contact Fire Capt. John Cornish at 630-554-2110.
